My teaching is deeply rooted in the principles of Classical Dressage. With a strong focus on rider position, use of the seat/weight aid and training the horse in a way the works, because it instantly makes sense to him.

I specialise in helping riders with young (or green) horses to bring them along the right way, building trust and confidence and correct basic training.

Lessons are available to riders looking to:

  • establish good basics
  • returning to riding after a long break
  • just starting out in dressage
  • bringing on young horses
  • changing disciplines or re-training horses to english riding
  • further educate yourself and your horse in the finer art of dressage

Riders are welcome to bring their horses in for lessons on my dressage arena, just off the Western Fwy in Gordon VIC (between Bacchus Marsh & Ballarat).

My purpose-built dressage arena has a custom-mixed sand surface for maximum support and minimum strain on the horses’ legs.

While I specialise in helping riders enjoy a deeper connection with their young horses, working on those pre-riding must haves on the ground and teaching general riding skills…

… I am equally at home discussing the finer points of lateral work, developing self-carriage and the teaching bio-mechanics and will happily work with competitive riders up to Advanced level.

Dressage is fun! If you don’t like dressage, you’re just not doing it right!
