Equestrienne

“I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t obsessed with horses, even as a small child I’d be glued to the car window, desperate to get a fleeting glimpse of a horse in a paddock.”

My name is Jessica Bryce and I’m a life-long horsewoman and “forever student”. I’ve had horses since I was a teenager, way back in those days when I had a job delivering junk mail to pay for my horse and used to catch first a train and then a bus to get myself to the horse paddock!

Since then I’ve done many “hard yards” learning important lessons the hard (and sometimes painful) way! I’ve worked with hundreds of horses and probably thousands of riders, and my thirst for knowledge has lead me down a number of side roads including barefoot trimming and equine body work!

I always seem to return to Coaching though; I think it’s where I’m meant to be. I see every course I take, book I read, or clinic I attend to be an investment not only in my own professional development but also in the progression of my pupils who benefit from the flow-on of new information and improved techniques as I’m constantly refining my own riding and coaching.

I will happily work with riders of all levels, but my specialty is setting up young or green horses with correct basics and introducing riders to Classical Dressage

My coaching style is friendly, flexible (what works for one horse may not be the best for another) and interactive. I encourage riders to ask questions and relay their observations so we work as a team.
